How do you make a Reservation?
To make a reservation you can call(252-441-7426) or email (karina@gerisplace.com), then a 30% deposit is required to hold the house. Reservations cannot be made more than 12 months out as the guests in the house this year have first rights to the house next year, I begin taking new reservations the Saturday of check out. You can pay the deposit by credit card over the phone or you can send a check to Geri’s Place. You pay the balance on arrival.
How close is the beach, and what is near by?
The cottages range from the closest, being right on the beach, to the farthest being only 100 yards from the beach. All the cottages are on the ocean side of the beach road so there are no roads to cross. The cottages are located at the south end of South Nags Head at the 21 milepost. Nearby attractions are Bodie Island lighthouse (2 miles) Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and 4×4 driving beach(4 miles) Outer Banks Fishing Pier (3 miles) Jennettes Fishing Pier (4 miles). Restaurants and Shopping are 4 miles north.
Does the kitchen have pots and plates?
Yes, the cottages have a full kitchen, with plates, utensils, pots and pans. It has a full size fridge, microwave, oven and stove. It has almost everything you probably have in your personal kitchen except some of the specialty items like waffle maker or griddles etc.

What time can I check in?
I can’t guarantee the house will be ready until 3:00 but you can check in as soon as it is clean.
Do you allow pets?
In some cottages, though it is an additional $10 per dog per night and there is a maximum of 2 dogs. Pets are not permitted in cottage 11, there are no exceptions. Dogs are permitted on the beach but they must be on leash and you must pick up after them or you could get a ticket. At the cottages dogs must be kept on a leash outside and owners must pick up after their pet. Pets are not allowed at the pool area. Inside the cottage owners are expected to respect the house and prevent wear and damage by keeping pets off furniture, keeping wet pets out of the house, keeping pets from scratching chewing destructively etc.
Are there any additional charges?
Yes, the tax is 13%. There is a linen fee of $10/bedroom so if you booking a 3 bedroom there is a $30 fee (non optional) to cover sheets and towels or if you bring a pet it is $10 extra per night per pet.
What do we need to bring?
Bring beach towels and beach chairs. You also need all Paper products, trash bags, dishwashing detergent, soaps, and beach equipment. All the cottages are equipped and furnished for normal housekeeping. Kitchens are equipped with cook-ware, dinnerware, glassware, and flatware, as well as coffee maker, toaster and microwave. Beds have pillows, mattress pads, sheets, blankets, and bedspreads.
Is there a grill at the cottage?
Most houses have charcoal park grill, cottage 3 does not.
Does the house have A/C, cable TV, washer/dryers, internet?
Yes, the cottages have central heat and air, cable, cable internet, and washer/dryers in the cottages.
Where is the grocery store?
FoodLion is 6 miles north of the cottages.
Do the houses have beach chairs and umbrellas?
No, you bring your own or you can rent them from a variety of rental agencies
